His journey into finance began with business studies at USC's Marshall School of Business, combined with scientific exploration in biochemistry at UMass Boston, followed by research at Harvard Longwood. Doug completed his undergraduate degree in Business, majoring in marketing with a chemistry minor at UMass Boston, laying the foundation for a career as a Certified Public Accountant.
He then pursued an MSA in Accounting, graduating summa cum laude while working full-time, and earned his CPA designation in 2013. Concurrently, Doug achieved an MBA, again graduating summa cum laude. Driven by a passion for entrepreneurship and a strong marketing foundation, he launched his own CPA practice in North Quincy, Massachusetts. Doug's interest in financial advising led him to become a Certified Financial Planner® in 2013, joining Morgan Stanley in Naples, Florida. His talents quickly stood out, leading to his recruitment by Fisher Investments in Tampa, where he managed a prestigious portfolio of high-net-worth clients with over a quarter of a billion in assets.
Further cementing his commitment to investment management, Doug earned the globally recognized CIMA® designation. He completed the required coursework at the Yale School of Management, further enhancing his knowledge in advanced portfolio construction, accounting, and risk management. With nearly two decades of experience, Doug offers a unique and valuable perspective at LA Pension Planners. His cross-disciplinary knowledge and experience enable him to craft comprehensive and insightful financial strategies for high-net-worth clients.
